PRE-CONFERENCE THINK TANK - preparation for the Fashion Colloquium

This think tank offers an in-depth introduction into the main themes of the parallel sessions and into the lectures of the keynote speakers. As an interdisciplinary group of students we prepare questions that we can ask the speakers during the parallel sessions at the conference. Participating students have the opportunity to ask questions to the keynotes in person during an interview that will be recorded on video by film maker Thijs Adriaans. Based on a conversation on the changing meanings of 'luxury', we explore and critically reflect on the main themes of the parallel sessions, such as: emotional connectivity, emerging materials, ecosystems, slowness and human values, embodied research, and social responsible businesses. We also reflect on the presentations of the keynote speakers, such as David Bollier, Kristine Harper, Orsola de Castro, and Otto von Busch.
